Lead a team to address performance bottlenecks:

• Created Yelp Casper, a network proxy to cache service calls (see this blog post.)
• Deployed Railgun to speed traffic between Yelp's and Cloudflare's datacenters, resulting in a 20% end-to-end improvement for international users.
• Built Yelp Pagelets (see this blog post) to generate Yelp pages 50% faster.

Built features, fixed bugs and drove improvements on yelp.com and m.yelp.com:

• Built the Yelp Transaction Platform, launched it publicly in July 2013 across platforms, and helped it scale to thousands of orders a day across multiple business verticals.
• Significantly improved the experience on Yelp's mobile site (see "Mission: Beyond The Mobile Browser".)
• Rebuilt Yelp's Elite page and the associated internal tools to pick, manage, engage, and reward the Yelp Elite Squads.

Customer Solution Engineer within Google Research:

• Built cross-compiled (iOS, Android) apps used by Youtube.
• Developed the UI for I-SEARCH, a multi-modal search engine.
• Registered a patent with the USPO: Non-textual user input (US 8935638 B2).
